This session, lead by Dr. Alina Turner CEO + Co-Founder of HelpSeeker explores how social innovation and technology can be leveraged to prevent and end homelessness.

Tech innovation is transforming our approach to preventing and ending homelessness is profound ways. This session will highlight emerging technologies including machine learning and AI, OpenID, and predictive models in Canada’s approach to homelessness. Speakers will bring the lenses of policy and funder decision makers, systems planners and tech development in their presentations.

Alina Turner is the CEO of HelpSeeker and a fellow at the School of Public Policy, UCalgary.

Jaime Rogers is a manager for Homeless and Housing Development at Medicine Hat Community Housing Society.

Steff Jones is VP of Innovation at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
