What does collective resilience mean for the care of vulnerable children? Extraordinary resilience is required of children and young people who are looked after by local authorities.
The very act of removing them from their families is a life-defining change. But some children are moved several times between foster families. Some older teenagers are placed alone in unregulated accommodation. A much larger group of children live with their families in unsuitable temporary accommodation arranged by local authorities.
What can we learn from this when seeking to bring an end to homelessness?
